Ive been told by many that I don’t know what to use my Junk Journal for, or that it’s too pretty to use.
That is just not true as I am always saying it gets more beautiful with use. If you think it’s beautiful now, wait until you use it and it becomes gorgeous with all that you add to the journal. That is the beauty of Junk Journals-you can’t do anything wrong with them. They just become more beautiful with use.
There are many ways you can use a Junk Journal. They are great for keeping memorabilia and keepsake paper items in. It will become a family heirloom if you go that route. It can be as simple as being a diary or daily writing journal. It can become a scrapbook type of memory keeping journal. You can use it for a specific event such as a vacation or a wedding, or as a baby book. The ideas are endless. Basically it can be used for whatever you want to use it for.
Some people don’t write in their Junk Journals at all. They use them to collage beautiful ephemera and keepsakes in and have the journal as something they just look at.
The way you use your Junk Journal is completely up to you and the purpose you want it to serve. Have fun with them and continue the creative process that was started when they were created because their life has just started and it’s up to you to continue it.
