For the Love of Paper and Ink is the company where both Candia and Cathy's brands have been combined together, The Aged Journal, Simply Candia By Design, Threadbenders, and Cathy Cuts Paper. It all came about in our homes because of our love for creating heartfelt gifts for friends and family.

Candia worked in the administrative field for over 13 years and has always had a love for crafting items for her own home and as gifts. Over the years friends and family have told her, she should sell her items. She has been hesitant to give it a shot but in 2015 she finally had the courage to share with the world what she had enjoyed creating. When she had to stop working because of health problems but needed to find a way to continue to contribute to the household, her crafting came to the rescue.
 

She loves to shop thrift stores for special pieces to incorporate into her creations and when she sees something that sparks her interest her mind will start swimming with ideas.

Cathy Likes to make things from bits and bobs to reflect life. Many colors, textures, layers, old and new. Paper and fabric, ink and thread, buttons and beads to her they are all beautiful.

 

According to her mom she has been making things almost as long as she has been alive. When she was three her mom found that Cathy was making dolls from the rubber tips off of doorstops, bobby pins, and toilet paper clothes. A portent of things to come! She has taught quilting, paper crafting and beading for 40 years and has been a maker even longer!
